Meet Daphne

Hi! My name is Daphne Kauahi’ilani Jenkins and I am a nerd and a foodie. A nerdy foodie, if you will.

I’ve held many other titles throughout my life – like athlete, teacher, writer, artist, and dog-mom – but “nerd” and “foodie” are through lines that get right to the heart of who I am.

I have always been curious– insatiably curious, you might say. Curious about stories and what they symbolize. Curious about psychology and human behavior. Curious about almost everything related to food, especially the multiple meanings food holds for us in our lives.

I was drawn to the field of nutrition because I believed it could offer me food-based solutions to the health issues I was facing – chronic stress, hypothyroidism, sub-fertility and recurrent miscarriages. The truth is, I entered into the field of nutrition because I wanted very badly to be healed.

I wanted food to heal me.

While in my nutrition program, I sank my teeth into courses on healing foods and food as medicine while dabbling curiously with courses like health coaching, food anthropology, and food relationship coaching. Thank goodness I followed my curiosity because my dabblings led to a huge epiphany: I realized that my relationship with food was a reflection of my relationship with myself.

My yearning to be healed by food revealed the need for nourishment in other areas of my life! I have been exploring this revelation ever since! In 2020, I completed my nutrition program even more curious about the fascinating ways our stories, our psychology, and our relationships with food can overlap and affect our health and well-being.

I am ready to support you on your own healing journey! Let’s dig in!
